Bag Alert!!

I found another bag for which to yearn. I saw the 'Large Houston Bag' from jcaroline.com in US magazine. When I went to the website to check it out, I found an even better bag! It's the 'Mini-Kansas City Tote'. Grosgrain ribbon is, in my opinion, the best way to dress up any accessory. Isn't that bag great?

Jimmy's Coming to Town!

How excited am I?? I am a HUGE Jimmy Buffet fan. I love his old music, his new music, and the happy island feeling I get when I listen to him. He's the second performer ever (The Boss was the first) to get the okay to play at Fenway Park!!! The mayor says that there will be NO TAILGATING. I am not sure how the parrotheads will take it or if they'll take it!!

Rangoons

After a crazy day at school, I went out with friends for Chinese. We got crab rangoons which I LOVE. I am pretty sure that no one in China has EVER heard of a crab rangoon. It seems so...American. I could be wrong. They are crab, onions, and cream cheese, deep fried inside won ton dough. They are pure heaven. Sounds shady, tastes great!

My Secret Love

I havea secret love. His name is....SpongeBob Squarepants. I say I watch so I can stay current with my middle school students but that's not true. I just really like the show. THERE! I said it! What a relief! I'm thinking about buying the SpongeBob sponges. How fun to play as I wash my dishes!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

On a day like today - rainy, cold, and just plain icky - I wish I had a pair of boots like this so I could jump into the really big puddles! They are from Vivre.com. I saw them in InStyle magazine.

Hey Yo! Tomatoes here!!!!

I went to Haymarket for groceries today. I love the market! Haymarket is the longest running Farmer's Market in the US!! And boy is it exciting. People are always yelling, fighting, banging into one another, and pushing their way to the front of lines. I LOVE it!!! Plus, it's so colorful with all of the fruits, fish, vegetables, and flowers. One vendor always has shrimp cocktails and oysters ready to eat! Take a look at the pictures!

Clairol won't run the ads they filmed because SO many people wrote and called saying they would boycott the company if they did! ( I was one of them. Why do I care so much? I don't know!)
Trump is paying for Troy's college degree! How great is that? (Again, why do I care so much? I don't know!)

Second Cousin or Once Removed?

I have never been able to figure out when people are second cousins or first cousins once removed. Never!!I have asked so many people how it all works and no one has ever been able to answer me. When I was having dinner with my cousin Marty's family I posed the question once again. Everyone offered an answer but I was still confused. My cousin Jeanne seemed to have a firm grasp on the whole idea but I just couldn't get it! I finally took the time to google the whole thing. I couldn't explain it to someone else yet, but I am working to get there.
